Amid an offseason that will be defined by a closene s to the salary cap, the are cutting ties with a valuable player to try to make the money make sense. Wednesday that the Cowboys won't be tendering a contract to 26-year old offensive lineman Brock Hoffman. That means that instead of being a restricted free agent, Hoffman will be an unrestricted free agent. And in e sence, it expre ses that the Cowboys don't have plans to keep him around. The 6-foot-4 Hoffman was an undrafted Erik Haula Jersey player after spending his college career first at Coastal Carolina and then at Virginia Tech. He has spent all four seasons of his NFL career with the Cowboys. He has started 14 games over the past two seasons, and 16 overall. MORE: Hoffman appeared in just three games in 2022. In 2023, it was two starts acro s a full 17-game slate. He played all 17 games again in 2024 and in 2025, starting seven games in each of those two seasons. Hoffman has added value thanks to his ability to play center, left guard and right guard. He'll likely have a decent go of it in free agency thanks to that versatility. The Cowboys, though, are up against it. They're restructuring the contracts of Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and more this offseason just to get under the cap line at all.
