I've lost count of how many times I've found myself on a crowded dance floor in Ibiza, only to feel like I'm trapped in a never-ending sea of shallow beats and forgettable melodies. The island has a reputation for being the epicenter of the electronic music world, but for me, that reputation often falls short. Ibiza's been hosting some of the world's most legendary DJs and producers for decades, and yet, despite all the fuss, I've struggled to find a truly original sound coming out of the island.

The sound has become so commercialized that it's hard to find anything truly authentic. What's happened to the days when Ibiza's Deep House scene was all about experimentation and pushing the boundaries of what electronic music could be? I'm not sure, but it feels like that's exactly what's been lost in the process of trying to appeal to a wider audience.

So, I'm still on this whole Ibiza Deep House thing – you know, the idea that Ibiza's the epicenter of Deep House music? Yeah, that's a load of crap.

The Deep House Lie

So, to all you wannabe DJs and promoters out there, let me give you a piece of advice: stop trying to be something you're not, and just focus on creating a genuine experience for your audience. Because Deep House, it's not about the fake, it's about the real.
