Once inside, the little gremlin will dart into a drawer decorated with a sun. Go open that drawer, and he’ll pop out like a caffeinated jack-in-the-box and bolt again. The entire goal here is to just follow wherever that Nome goes. He’ll eventually cower under a chair cushion on the far right, before making a final dash behind a glass bottle on a high shelf. Since you can’t reach, Low needs to fire an arrow to shatter the bottle, startling the Nome into lowering a ladder for you. Before you can climb, though, pull the cart from under the left desk. With it fully extended, take a running jump from the table on the right, and you can finally ascend.

The First of Many Creepy Dolls

Keep trundling along the main path until you drop into a hallway. You’ll spot a familiar empty socket in a room to the left. To the right, at the corridor’s end, you’ll see our Nome pal and a breakable glass pane. Smash that glass window to reveal a tiny, filthy bathroom where the first doll of Carnevale is just sitting on the floor, waiting to be snatched.

Getting This Elevator Moving

Head back into the hallway and enter the room where the Nome disappeared. You’ll find him dramatically pointing at a wall button. Have Alone smash that button to kick on a furnace. This act of destruction prompts the Nome to run off and generously present you with a missing light battery. Take that battery back to the socket to power things up. Now, pull the lever in the elevator to ride it to the next area. At the ride’s end, you’ll discover a flashlight lying on the floor. This isn’t a clunky carry item; it’s something you can magically activate at any point, which is a rare kindness in this game.

The Infuriating Button Light Puzzle

When you reach the large, circular outdoor area, before you do anything else, don’t forget to hug the Nome hiding behind the ladder on the left. Now, head through the right-side door and clamber over tables into a back room. Here, you’re greeted by a panel with three rows of buttons that need to be pressed in a specific, pain-in-the-neck pattern. The solution is:

To input this, Alone must smash the large button at the panel’s base. This makes the lights above each button light up in sequence. When a light glows over a button you need, Low must shoot an arrow to activate it. Once everything is correct, the lights will flash. Go pull the lever on the panel’s right, then bolt through the newly opened door and pull the lever on the large circle’s side to reveal a spinny contraption. Hug another Nome near this lever, then spin the mechanism’s bottom until the top panel aligns with the right balcony. Climb the platforms to reach the top.

Doll Collectibles Two Through Five: A Scavenger’s Detour

Once you’re on that tall right-side platform, don’t go through the door yet. Climb the stacked boxes behind the open door to find a small vent. Crawl inside for the second doll. After that, enter the room and climb the giant wine rack, jump across the bathtub, and shimmy up the chain. At the top, ignore the hole in the door ahead for a moment. Instead, run around the U-shaped balcony to find the third doll on the floor. Pull a drawer in this area to startle a Nome, and hug the little guy before proceeding through that initial hole in the wall.

In this new hallway, go straight to the left and down small stairs into a tiny room. Navigate to the far left to find the fourth doll. As you leave, have Low shoot the wall button near the door to scare out another Nome for a hug. Back in the main hallway, head to the back right corner room with a piano. Hop onto the piano keys and run across them from left to right. This triggers a secret room behind a toy shelf, holding the fifth doll. A final Nome will run out and hide behind the piano; hug this last Nome to unlock the ‘Home Sweet Nome’ achievement.

Keys, Furnaces, and Puppet Head-Smashing

Head through the left door in the main hallway and climb tables to a vent. You’ll soon face a locked door and a dummy tied to a pipe. To get the key, Low needs to shoot the dummy’s head off so Alone can obliterate it with her wrench. Grab the revealed key and proceed. Soon after, you’ll find a dead furnace. To fix it, one player holds the furnace door open while the other tosses in coal. Once the dial hits the red, pull the cord and hop on top. Climb out the top-right window, but before going right, head down towards the camera along the boxes and roof. You’ll find a small hole leading to a plank with the sixth doll inside.

You’ll soon hit another locked door. Pull the lever to its left to light up a string, revealing a frayed wagon rope for Low to shoot. Climb in and sneak through a window. In a back room, one of you boosts the other over tables, then pushes a cart out of the way. Boost again to grab the key from a wall hook and return to the door.

Defeating the Puppets and a Carnival Game

Keep pushing forward until you reach an empty room with a single broken window. The moment you step in, hostile puppets will begin spawning. Low needs to shoot their heads off, and Alone must smash the detached heads. The headless bodies will still chase, so Low must distract them while Alone finishes the job. After four of these nuisances, you can jump on the trap door. Once you emerge from under the floorboards, don’t go right. Instead, head left around the hole and climb up the inside of the carriage for the seventh doll.

Later, you’ll find a carnival game where you can earn the 'Aim Low (And Alone)' achievement. The rule is simple: when a child drawing flashes on the cards, don’t shoot. When a Nome drawing appears, fire an arrow. Light up all the slots to win.

Sneaking Past Kin and Mini Kin

After descending a well to grab the eighth doll near a lantern, you’ll soon meet the bosses. In a room where Kin and Mini Kin slumber in front of a TV, you must sneak past them by pulling planks off a wall and immediately hiding in a box. You then need to follow Mini Kin into the next room, where a gruesome feeding session occurs. While they’re distracted, sneak to the far right side of the room and pull a saw lever. This creates a diversion, allowing you to sneak back out through a hole in the wall and jump on a table to grab a crank. Carefully bring the crank back, insert it, and turn it to open a hatch, sliding in just as Mini Kin comes for you.

A Steamy Puzzle and Final Escape

After escaping, you’ll crawl through vent systems to find the ninth doll and smash another Geisha statue. Soon, you’ll face a steam puzzle with a moving platform. Player one pulls the left lever to move the platform so player two can get on. Player one then moves the platform right to deliver player two safely, and the process is repeated. After this, in a dark room, head to the far right to find a hole in the wall containing the tenth and final doll.

The climax involves being captured. Low ends up in a dangling cage, Alone in one on the floor. Alone must sneak to a crank, but Low first needs to make noise as a distraction. Alone turns the crank to move Low’s cage near a Nome’s, then holds it while Low shoots the rope above the Nome’s cage. This drops the Nome as a lure. Once free, you’ll navigate under floorboards, grab a key Kin carelessly left on a box during a stage show, and initiate a final chase that ends in a hot air balloon. Pull the handle to take off, and once more when Mini Kin attacks, sending the balloon drifting away as this ridiculously long chapter finally ends.
