MLB The Show 26 May Spotlight Program: What’s Inside Pack Drop 3
How to Get the May Spotlight Drop 3 Pack
Sony San Diego Studio is giving players two distinct ways to secure this new pack:
-
The Show Shop: If you have the currency to burn, you can pick up the pack directly from the store right now for 25,000 stubs.
-
The Free Program Path: For the grinders out there, you don't need to spend a single dime. By tackling the dedicated Drop 3 Program missions and moments, you will unlock one of these packs for free once you hit the 40-point milestone.
Pack Odds and Player Breakdown
When you rip open a May Spotlight Drop 3 Pack, you are guaranteed a Diamond player. However, the exact player you pull depends on your luck with the tier odds.
The Rare Tier (1:4 Odds)
Hitting the rare tier gives you a 25% chance at one of the two highest-rated cards in the drop. Both come in at a highly competitive 94 OVR.
-
Aaron Ashby (RP, MIL — 94 OVR): This is the definitive headliner of the drop. Elite left-handed relievers are always premium real estate in Diamond Dynasty, and Ashby’s attributes put him firmly into the current bullpen meta. Whether you need a shutdown setup man or a high-leverage lefty to get out of a jam, he is the prize of this pack.
-
Daylen Lile (LF, WSH — 94 OVR): If you hit the rare tier and don't need pitching, Lile is an incredibly fun option. He brings high-end speed to the outfield and boasts massive hitting attributes specifically tailored to crush right-handed pitching. He’s a perfect platoon option or a dynamic lead-off threat.
The Base Tier (1:1 Odds / Guaranteed)
If you miss the 1:4 rare tier, you will pull a 92 OVR card from the base tier. While they don't have the same top-tier stats as Ashby or Lile, these cards offer solid depth for theme teams or budget squads.
-
Henry Bolte (CF, ATH — 92 OVR): A well-rounded, athletic center fielder who can track down fly balls and provide respectable pop in the bottom half of an order.
-
Yohendrick Pinango (LF, TOR — 92 OVR): A solid corner outfielder with a smooth swing that makes him a reliable contact option against both sides of the plate.
-
Rodolfo Duran (C, SD — 92 OVR): Catchers with decent hitting stats are always useful early on, making Duran a very serviceable option behind the dish if you haven't locked down your permanent backstop yet.
Don't Skip the Free Program Rewards
Aside from the pack itself at the 40-point mark, grinding the accompanying May Spotlight Drop 3 Program path yields some great untradeable rewards. By completing specific Moments and PXP (Player Parallel XP) missions, you can add three more distinct cards to your inventory without spending any stubs.
| Milestone | Reward Card | Position / Team | Key Features |
| 10 Points | 91 OVR Topps Now Brandon Sproat | SP, MIL | Solid early-game starting pitcher depth. |
| 20 Points | 92 OVR Topps Now A.J. Ewing | CF, NYM | Great speed and fielding attributes for center field. |
| 50 Points | 94 OVR Spotlight Nick Kurtz | 1B, ATH | A massive power bat capable of anchoring the middle of a lineup. |
Grinder's Note: Because the program cards are untradeable, finishing the full path ensures you walk away with 94 OVR Nick Kurtz and at least one guaranteed Diamond from the Drop 3 pack. It's well worth the time if you're trying to keep up with the power curve without draining your stub balance.
